Discover Hidden Landmarks Wherever You Are

Watch landmarks pop up around you with Tagwhat

Sometimes our old routines get in the way of discovering amazing new things.

For example, we had no idea Teddy Roosevelt’s Birthplace is three blocks from our office until we fired up Tagwhat, a new app that uses your phone’s GPS and internal compass to locate interesting local culture.

From movie filming locations to landmarks like the Flatiron Building, browse relevant images, information, and videos about locations within a specified radius.

Enabling push notifications means you’ll never walk past historic spots again, particularly ones added to your Want to Go list. Use the Been There button to keep a running list of the interesting places you’ve found.

The Superslider bar at the bottom of the screen quickly alternates between the information source (frequently Wikipedia pages, though also user- and Tagwhat-generated content) and additional insights from Facebook, Foursquare, and Twitter.

A little change of perspective never hurt anyone.
