Joy Ride

Find Your Dream Car Based On Your Preferences And Lifestyle

Shopping for a new car can be overwhelming, to say nothing of the pushy salespeople you encounter.

To make auto shopping easier, there’s Honk, a site that uses your interests, lifestyle and the advice of others to help you find the perfect car.

Start by creating an account and selecting a few models of car that you like (or dislike) and inputting some information about yourself. Are you outdoorsy? Married? An urbanite? Speed freak? Honk uses this information to help find the right fit for you.

Your dashboard will alert you whenever someone posts a new review or comment on a car you’ve selected. By ranking a car’s attributes (e.g. safe over sporty or stylish), the pool is narrowed down. And since they’ll eventually have an opinion anyway, friends can also comment on your selections.

Once you’ve made your selection, Honk will find the lowest price on your dream vehicle in your area, free of charge.

Gassing up the vehicle, however, will still cost you.

Keep All of Your Favorite Files in One Place

Store files online with the fastest upload time with MiMedia

When Netted first heard about storing files in The Cloud, we walked outside and threw all our vinyl records and CDs at the sky. Imagine our disappointment when we went back inside, sat at our computer and discovered our music files were nowhere to be found.

We eventually realized it was because we hadn’t signed up for MiMedia yet.  It’s a service for Windows users that uploads, stores and updates all your files, pictures and music wherever you have Internet access.

MiMedia sets themselves apart from other cloud storage services with their Shuttle Drive. If you request it, they’ll ship a 250GB hard drive to you to back up all your files much faster than your broadband connection can. Just plug it in, load your files and ship it back – it’s included free with registration.

The program always runs in the background so you don’t even have to schedule backup times. And with the matching app for iOS devices, you can view or modify your digital goods on the go. Though the apps work without a hitch, MiMedia’s desktop program for Mac is still in the works.

The simplicity of two plans means you can upload 7GB of files for free or up to 250GB for $9/month. But since we love you, Netted subscribers can take 50% off memberships by entering the promo code “netted” at checkout. Score!

Thank goodness we never took our tax information and business folders out into the street to try to get them up into The Cloud. That would’ve been pretty disastrous.

Shop Locally

Buy And Sell With The People Around You

Nothing’s worse than needing a tennis ball machine and a Romanian translator in the middle of the night and not knowing where to find one nearby. When you try to organize the first international wallball tournament, you’ll understand what we mean.

Luckily local shopping is easier with Zaarly, a new marketplace that finds the services and stuff you need in your immediate area.

Available via site or mobile app, Zaarly locates goods and services nearby available for purchase or rental. You can place an offer on the items you want and even send a message to the seller directly through the service.

Need to buy a dining room table? Someone to help you film a movie? Have an urgent question for a cultural anthropologist? It’s all on there… seriously. Just like they say, “It’s what you want, when you want it.”

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re late for our bouncy-castle laser tag training session across town.

Bill Board

Organize All Your Bills In One Place

There are lots of bills worth liking: dollar bills, the Bill of Rights, and Bill Pullman, just to name a few. Others, like that unpaid cellular bill from the late 90s, are nothing but hassle.

Now that we’re older, wiser, and way more responsible, we use Manilla to manage all our finances in one spot – and never pay a bill late. It works hand-in-hand with your bank accounts, credit cards, household bills, frequent flyer programs and even magazine subscriptions to create a centralized financial dashboard.

Simply add your accounts, like your wireless carrier, electric company, and checking account, and settle up everything you owe right from Manilla. The site will even send helpful reminder emails or text messages when bills are due to help you help yourself.

Companies on Manilla no longer have to mail you paper copies of your bill, saving money for them and keeping Manilla free for you. It’s a greener alternative to old-school paper billing that also saves on stamps. And of course, all this problem solving comes with bank-level security verified by the best in the business.

To quote the great Bill Pullman in Independence Day, “Today we celebrate our independence…” from worrying about fees and due dates.
