Meet Your Daily Personal Navigator

Scout super charges your commute with traffic and attractions information

The cartography app field is filled with heavy hitters like Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze. (Well, two out of three at least.)

But a lot happens between point A and point B. Sometimes you want a map that’s more than a map – a map like Scout.

The new personal navigation app for the Android and iPhone has more than a few tricks up its sleeve. Besides offering voice-guided turn-by-turn directions, Scout learns your daily commute and gives tips on faster routes based on traffic patterns.

There’s also a huge database of services like restaurants, gas stations, and parking garages, and you can find a calendar of local events (concerts, festivals, etc.) at and send your favorites right to the app.

Even more remarkable: Scout can automatically text friends and family your current location with a pre-calculated ETA.

Pretty impressive. You know, for a map.
